The Platform

What Is SailPoint ISC — and Is It the Same as IdentityNow?

Yes. SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) is the current name of the product previously called IdentityNow, SailPoint's software-as-a-service identity governance platform. Job posts, forum threads and older courses still say "IdentityNow" or "IDN", so treat the three names as one product, and check that any older material you study matches today's interface.

ISC runs in SailPoint's cloud. Your organisation does not install or patch it; instead, administrators connect sources (HR systems, Active Directory, databases, cloud apps), shape identity data with identity profiles and JSON transforms, and govern access through access profiles, roles, certification campaigns and separation-of-duties policies. On-premises systems connect through a Virtual Appliance.

That is the main difference from SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ), which a company installs and runs itself and customises largely with Java and BeanShell rules.
